Central defender Rod McDonald has been sold to Coventry City for an undisclosed fee.

McDonald joined the Cobblers in 2015, but he only made 29 starts, and 37 appearances overall, for the team during his two years.

Team manager, Justin Edinburgh said: “”We were honest with Rod at the end of the season. We said that because he hadn’t played as much first team football as he would have liked he was available to move to another club. We are working hard to improve the squad over the summer and we believe it is in the best interests of all parties that Rod makes this move. We wish Rod every success in his future career.”
